Vincent W. Tagert, 55, of Vancleave passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025 after a brief illness. He was the only child to Kerry Tagert and Ruthie Tagert born on March 13, 1969 in Pascagoula, MS
He graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1987 and attended Mississippi State University on a Chemical Engineering scholarship. He was a former operator at Chevron in Pascagoula for over 16 years. Vincent was a former Mounted Patrol Officer for Jackson County Sheriff’s Department volunteering during Rodeos and County Fair events. He enjoyed photography, knives, guns, playing his guitar, fishing, supporting Saints Football team, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Vincent in preceded in death by his mother, Ruthie Tagert; grandson, Alex Tagert. He is survived by his loving companion and wife of 40 years, Stephanie Hronek Tagert, Vancleave; father, Kerry Vincent Tagert, Vancleave; three sons, Michael Tagert (Jennifer), Vancleave; Matthew Tagert (his fiancé’, Dominoe), Vancleave and Mitchell Tagert, Gautier; granddaughter, Adaleigh Tagert; numerous other relatives and great friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, 6:00-8:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will be Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, 10:00am, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eugene Eubanks officiating. Graveside service will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, MS.
