Walter Lee McGill Jr. passed away at his home Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the age of 75.
Walter was born October 20, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to Walter Lee McGill Sr. and Margaret Halstead McGill. He served proudly in the United States Air Force and Navy. Idleness was not in his vocabulary. He stayed busy as a handyman, using his ability to fix anything to bless others. He was a loyal and faithful friend. These characteristics, loyal, faithful, dependable and work ethics were consistent until the end. He used these as well to bless his church, Eastside Assembly of God. He loved church and was quick to give a testimony about the blessings of God. He will be missed but we know we will see him again.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Douglas Denton; step father, Charles Thomas Payne.
He is survived by his wife Sarah McGill of Pascagoula, MS; daughter, Beth Hickey of Saucier, MS; stepdaughter, Erica Fantes of Pascagoula, MS; sisters, Denise Reeves (Tom) and Jeanie Coates (Bob); brothers, Lenny McGill and James McGill all of Maryland; grandchildren, Olivia Hickey, Jordan Hickey, Dominique Moore (Austin), Alexis Hughes ( J.T.) and Justin Denton; great grandchildren, Khloe and Chandler Moore and Tommy Hughes; numerous other relatives, friends and church family.
