Wanda Kaye (Hinkel) Tira

Wanda Kaye Tira, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in Pascagoula, MS at the age of 67.

Wanda was born December 30, 1953 in Pascagoula, MS to Harold E. and Elsie Hinkel.  She was a vigorous individual who did all things with energy and excitement.  She never met a stranger. She was outgoing, happy and her smile and laughter were contagious. These attributes served her well as wedding planner, coordinator, florist and anything craft and artsy.  Wanda’s smile will live on in our hearts and memories.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Hinkel. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Rickie Tira of Pascagoula, MS; daughter, Pamela Michelle Tira of Pascagoula, MS; siblings, Shirley Boykin of Florida, Harold “Harry” Hinkel and his wife Debbie of Lucedale, MS and Richard Hinkel; sister-in-law, Jeanna Reeves; grandchildren, Melissa Sarris (John), Taylor Olier, Willow Olier, and Rayna Olier. 

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be Saturday, March 13, 2021 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula from 1:00-4:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation in her memory to the charity of your choice. Memories and condolences can be shared online at www.obryantokeefe.com
