William "Bill" Finn

William Finn, age 83, passed October 22, 2024.  Bill was born on May 22, 1941, in Stamford, Connecticut.  He graduated high school in 1959 and then entered the US Air force serving four years.  He was deployed to Morocco where he learned to fly airplanes.  Bill would fly to Spain and Gibraltar also flying helicopters.  After serving his country he received honorable discharge, he came home married his high school sweetheart and became a police office serving the Stamford Police Department for fifteen years where he was recognized for solving the first hit and run accident.  Bill retired from the police department and moved his family to Mississippi where he continued serving the public helping establish the Gautier Fire Department serving sixteen years as a firefighter and lieutenant.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Mary Foster, father Robert Joseph Finn and brother Edward Kevin Finn who served in the US Army Blackhawk in Vietnam.

Bill is survived by his wife Joyce Jensen Finn, children Carolyn DeMouy, Bobby Baria, Kelly (Gary) Anderson and Kevin (Angel) Finn, grandchildren, Meagan Naramore, Ashton DeMouy, Madison Mocknick, Zachary DeMouy, Abigail Archer, Bethany Harelson, Lauren Finn, Ryan Anderson, Denina Anderson and Breanna Sims and seventeen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024,  11:00am-   1:00pm, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 3290 Ladnier Road in Gautier.    Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel followed by Military Honors to be rendered at the funeral home.
