William “Billy” Robert Patrick, age 69, of Ocean Springs passed unexpectedly on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was born November 26, 1953 in Moss Point, Mississippi and was a United States Army Veteran.
Billy was a former employee of Compton’s Heat and Air, Air Masters and a co-owner of Southern Aire. He was currently employed with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gautier as HVAC technician. He was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Gautier. Billy enjoy playing golf, being a jokester, and had a great passion for music and loved to sing. Just minutes before his sudden passing, he was singing some of his favorite songs with some close friends.
Billy loved life and enjoyed making others laugh no matter what the occasion. Everyone definitely walked about from Billy with a smile on their face because of his great humor.
He is now reunited with the love of his life- wife of 41 years, Lynn Balius Patrick that died on March 31, 2023; parents, Coach Leslie A. Patrick and Anna Louise Patrick; sister, Laura Ellen Patrick John; brother, Doug Patrick.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel Patrick, Gautier and William “Will” Patrick, of Vancleave; four grandson, Griffin Lain Patrick, Avery, Grayson, and Harper Patrick; brothers and sisters, David Frances Patrick of Grand Bay, AL, Joseph Malcom Patrick of Acworth, GA, John Carlos Patrick of San Antonio, TX, Wayne Patrick, Moss Point, MS; Catherine Louise Sigalas of Pascagoula; Marian Marie Swint of Grand Bay, AL, Anna Elizabeth Dunbar of Pascagoula; Ceclia Ann Patterson of Grand Bay, AL, and Betty Joe Patrick of Fort Walton Beach, FL.; numerous other family members, co-workers, and great friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 10:00-11:00am, at Bethel Baptist Church in Gautier. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 with Rev. Walter Barbee officiating. Committal service will follow next to the church at Ladnier Road Cemetery in Gautier. Pallbearers will be Avery Patrick, Grayson Patrick, John Patrick, Rickey Cumbest, Simon Bechtel, and David Bechtel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harper Patrick and Griffin Patrick.
