William Franklin “Frank” Feazell, 88, of Gautier, MS, died peacefully in his home on April 13, 2025.
Frank was born in Meridian, MS, in 1937 to Julius Caesar Feazell, Jr. and Bessie Rae Barker as the youngest of five brothers. He graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1955 and soon after enlisted in the United States Air Force. After his time in the service, he began his career at Transwestern Pipeline in Houston, TX, before transitioning to Chevron Refinery of Pascagoula, where he would go on to retire after 28 years.
Frank was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 65 years, Sylvia Feazell. Together, they shared a lifetime of cherished memories but were most proud of the family they built together.
Among his grandchildren and their peers, he will be proudly remembered as Pawpoo, a loving and thoughtful grandfather who will be missed dearly. He imparted countless life lessons and was always there when it mattered most. The pride he had in his family was evident in the way that he supported them through every walk of life with unwavering love. He never hesitated to go above and beyond what was asked or expected of him. He lived with purpose and joy in his life and has undoubtedly left a legacy that will carry on for generations to come.
Frank was a hero and a great friend to many who will surely miss him. However, comfort is found in knowing he is no longer in pain and has been made whole in Christ. He was preceded in death by his dad, Julius Caesar; his mom, Bessie Rae; his brothers, Fredrick, Julius, Rae, and James Feazell; and son-in-laws Dennis Thibodeaux and Bob McLean. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; his children, Mike Feazell and Jennifer McLean; his grandchildren, Alexis (Tyler) Kelly, Lauren Shuster, Matthew Feazell, Alex (Ty) Shuster, and Lindsay Shuster; his great-grandchildren Liam, Jayce, and Shepherd Kelly; and his dear friends, Wayne (Shirley) Canard and Helen McBride.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, MS, from 5-7 pm. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Christ Lutheran Church in Pascagoula, MS, at 10 am. A Committal service will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park Mausoleum . Pallbearers will be Matthew Feazell, Tyler Kelly, Chris Canard, Scott Hotard, Steve Hotard, and Shawn Robbins.
