William Wesley Guy, 70, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. He was born on November 13, 1955, in Marianna, Florida, to Otis Guy and Sarah Guy.
Wesley loved the joys of his Gulf Coast life. Some of his happiest days were spent out on his shrimp boat with friends or down at the marina, swapping stories and sharing laughs. Those moments by the water meant the world to him. He was also a devoted Alabama football fan and was always proud to say, “Roll Tide.” He enjoyed deep conversations with his son about history and world events. And he especially loved playing the guitar and singing with Charlotte in their earlier life.
Above all, Wesley loved his family. He is survived by his fun loving wife, Charlotte Linder Guy; his son, Jordan Tyler Guy; his sister-in-law, Elaine Guy; his nephew, Taylor Guy; his niece, Lauren Guy Carter and his great-nephew, Ian Scholl. He is proceeded in death by Danny Guy- nephew and brother Darious Guy
Wesley faced a long illness with determination. In his final moments at home, he was surrounded by love. His family is deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion shown by their friends/family. Their support throughout the many crises over the years brought comfort to Wesley and Charlotte during these difficult times.
Visitation will be held at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula on Friday March 13, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in Gautier at St Pierre’s Episcopal church at 2PM. Friends and family are invited to the home after the service. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Cemetery in Cottonwood, Alabama where his family rests.
Wesley will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of the water, and the joy he found in time spent with family and friends.
