Wilton O'Neal Trott

Wilton O’Neal Trott, age 77, of Gautier passed away on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020. He was born November 18, 1942 in Maplesville, AL and lived in this area for 45 years.   He was a member of Gautier First Methodist Church for over 40 years. O’Neal worked on the road construction crew that built I-10 band was an area Union Steward for Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was an avid player of solitaire and loved watching his grandchildren play and have fun.  He held a special place in his heart for hunting dogs and loved hearing them run deer.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kizer Trott; mother, Geraldine Trott Deramus; brothers, James Trott and Harold Trott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Suzanne L. Trott, Gautier; son and daughter in law, Justin and Cristina Trott; Orlando, FL; daughter, Jana Trott Hoobler, Gautier; six grandchildren, Kalyn Kelly, Holly Hoobler, Ella Hoobler, Gwyn Hoobler, Alexandra Pop, and Cristian Pop; sister and brother -in-law, Helen and Tom Carlson, Chilton County, AL; sister-in-law, Gloria Trott, Prattville, AL; nephew, Jeremy and Kimberly Trott, Prattville, AL; niece, Joy  and Zak Zakaria, Prattville, AL; niece, Jennifer Widen, Prattville, AL; several great nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held on Trott Hill at Red Creek where he enjoyed listening to the dogs run with his hunting buddies.   You may send memorials in his memory to Gautier First United Methodist Church Children’s Ministry.  An online register book is available to express your condolences on the Tribute Wall of the funeral home website.
